This Indenture made the 27th day of September in the year of our Lord 1826 Between Alexander Rea of the county of Davidson & State of North Carolina of the one part & Thomas Cheshier of the same County & State of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars to him in hand paid at or before the ensealing & delivering of these presents The receipt whereof if Thereby acknowledged the Alexander Rea hath bargained & sold & by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enforce convey and confirm unto the aforesaid Thomas Cheshier his heirs & assigns Exectr. & adm. one certain tract Messuage or tenement of Land lying between Clemmonstown and the Yadkin River, being part of the Tract which said Rea bought of Henry Eakles Beginning at a stake on the East line 9 chains and 90 links South of the Hickory corner Running Thence W. with the same variation of the old line forty chains & 1 links to A stone or stake Thence north five chains & 90 links to a stone in Rebecca [maiden name Hanes, widow of Nathaniel Shober] Shober's Line thence East witht he old line Forty Chains & 1 links to Jacob Saner's corner thence South to the beginning containing Twnety two acres be the same more or less with all the ways, woods, waters & water courses appurtenances & improvements. And all the Estate Right Title Claim & demand of him the said Alexr. Rea his heirs Exrs. Adms. to have & to hold all & singular the same to him the said Thos. Cheshier his Heirs & assigns to his & their proper use benefit & behooss forver And, the said Alexander Rea doth by these presents bing himself his heirs viz to warrant & forever defend the Right of Title of the above described Land unto him the said Thomas Cheshier his heirs and assigns forever against the Challenge Claim on demand of all & every other person or person whatever. In witnesses whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the day & date above written.
